A beautiful heart-warming moment that I wanted to capture and give appropriate credibility to in a scrap booking sense.
I started with Early Espresso 12"x12" card stock, then incorporated River Rock card stock
as my next main colour
The "lace" like feature beneath the circular mount was created by pleating a border punched with Lace Ribbon Border Punch (now retired). This served two purposes - it added dimension to the circular mount and allowed for the flower embellishment behind the photo to nestle without difficulty.
I continued the "circular" theme by creating a void behind the photograph. I heat embossed the large Medallion background stamp in black on the Early Espresso background. I made the flowers using some Baja Breeze DSP and the Secret Garden Framelit dies. Of course I daubered the edges of the flowers with Soft Suede ink and distressed them to match the rustic theme of the layout.
Enjoy!
